Mathematical Model for Rice Blast Disease Caused by Spore Dispersion Affected from Climate Factors

نویسندگان

چکیده

Rice blast disease, caused by the fungus Pyricularia oryzae, is one of diseases that reduce rice yields in Thailand. The fungus’s dispersal influences this disease outbreak. This study aims to develop a mathematical model for spore dispersion, namely non-local diffusion equation terms kernel, adding factor causes dispersion due rain splash and adjusting infection term based on weather conditions such as air temperature relative humidity. assessed existence uniqueness solutions Banach’s fixed point theorem used finite difference method solve them. numerical simulation confirmed part analysis. Because climate data was effectively developing pandemic widespread areas.

Rice Blast Disease Forecasting for Northern Philippines

Rice blast disease has become an enigmatic problem in several rice growing ecosystems of both tropical and temperate regions of the world. In this study, we develop models for predicting the occurrence and severity of rice blast disease, with the aim of helping to prevent or at least mitigate the spread of such disease. Data from 2 government agencies in selected provinces from northern Philipp...

Physical rice grain quality as affected by biophysical factors and pre-harvest practices

Varietal purity and proportions of grains with brown spots, fissured grains, chalky grains andwhole grains in a rice sample are important grain quality attributes influencing consumers'preference and price but little information exist on how these grain quality attributes are affectedby biophysical factors and pre-harvest practices. Several authors have studied in isolation theeffect of biophys...

TPS1 drug design for rice blast disease in magnaporthe oryzae

Magnaporthe oryzae (M. oryzae) is a fungal pathogen and the causal agent of rice blast disease. Previous lipidomics analysis of M. oryzae demonstrated that trehalose, a carbohydrate common to various fungi and algae, is thought to be involved in the possible conversion of glycogen into triacylglycerides for energy, an important step in the pathogenesis of M. oryzae. A key enzyme responsible for...

Stunted Growth Caused by Blast Disease in Rice Seedlings Is Associated with Changes in Phytohormone Signaling Pathways

In response to pathogen attack, plants prioritize defense reactions generally at the expense of plant growth. In this work, we report that changes in phytohormone signaling pathways are associated with the stunted plant growth caused by blast disease in rice seedlings. Infection of rice seedlings with blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae (race 007.0) at the four-leaf stage (three true leaves) result...
